My Story

#365Siblings Photo Memory Legacy Is Back!… Kinda.

Siblings Photo Memory 365 Projetc is back!

Today is August 1st, the beginning of my favorite month of the year. In August, I celebrate my birthday. A few days later, Daddy D celebrates his birthday. And when we looked at the calendar as an engaged couple to decide on a wedding date, we choose the day in August that split the days between our birthdays exactly.

That week in August is known to us as The Bell Family Celebration Week! I was so excited thinking of the awesome family and photo memory legacy we’d create during that week year after year. We’ve visited friends in Washington DC, we learned about animals and last year we took both kids across the country for a mix of business and pleasure in Florida. But… this year is different. Alina starts school during that week and that puts a huge damper on our Family Celebration Week.

While I’m excited for my girl’s Pre-K year, I’m bummed that this special week will now have to contend with school calendars. What happened to school starting after Labor Day???

Anyway, to make myself feel better I’ve decided to challenge myself to a month’s full of #365Siblings. Unlike The Meaning of Siblings though (a 365 siblings photo project I started last year that ceased adruptyly after I found out a crazy lady was stealing images), the words of wisdom will be my own and will look a bit different. Basically, I’m formatting the short term, photo memory project to make it easy to make a book out of the month’s photos once August is done.

This is my present to myself – for being a year older, a more patient wife, a focused mama and a steadfast legacy builder. I want a present, ya’ll!

I stopped posting the images in a 365 collection, but I’ve never stopped shooting our babies together. I’ve learned a lot about shooting these two kids in creative and artful ways and am excited to challenge myself to grow in that experience.

Just hold me accountable to actually get the images printed out in a book that I can hold with my hands!

Above are some of my favorite #365siblings images that I’ve taken over the last several months. I especially love the one before. The kids love their daddy something fierce.

Like the original project, I’ll be posting the project on a weekly basis. Come back Sunday for the first days of the August #365siblings photo memory project!

How did I get so lucky to marry a man like him?
