Alina made an adorable mouse for Halloween this year, 2011. The velvet, the tulle, the rhinestones- whats not to love!! I think she looked quite adorable! This is a recap post of our fun filled Halloween 2011, when Alina was just shy of two years old. We had already enjoyed an amazing Halloween Party with fun Halloween party foods at Auntie’s, so the actual night was icing on the cake!
I actually took a minute to pass off the camera to Daddy D and got in a few snap shots with my baby girl. It seems like forever since we’ve taken a picture together. I adore her silly face and had such a great time with my baby girl.
We spent Halloween this year with our regular crew of family and friends, including Alina’s favorite kids: Payton and Baby B. Last year we had dinner and went trick or treating at my Step Mom’s house, but decided to switch it up this year and spend it at my Sister’s {which is a fantastic, family friendly neighborhood}.
The first person Alina saw after getting out of the car was her Grammy. She took off running as soon as her little feet hit the ground! It was the cutest thing and the image just melted my heart. My favorite is seeing the look on my Step Mom’s face as she catches her first glimpse of her “little squeeker”. Now that’s love!
Alina and I have been practicing knocking on doors and saying “trick o’ treat” for a few weeks now. She got the door knocking down like a pro, and was thrilled to finally say her Halloween phrase over and over again. Her first official Halloween door knock? Auntie’s! She was so excited standing there waiting for Auntie to answer!!
Auntie wasted no time in adding her own touch to Alina’s costume, much to Daddy D’s protest. Its hard to believe that one day those sweet, little lips and face will have makeup on them more often then once a year for a silly Halloween day. Please don’t let those days come too soon!
Payton was Rapunzel and Baby B was Superman; all of the kids were adorable, but it was baby Camden who stole the show in his homemade Pascal costume {made by his Nana!}. How adorable is this little guy on his very first Halloween! Alina is madly in love with Camcam and couldn’t resist giving him kiss after kiss. She is a sucker for a cute baby!
Alina can be a timid little girl, so I have been preparing her for the Halloween madness as much as I can before hand. She only freaked out once, at a screaming scary mask, but Daddy held her tight and she got over it fairly quickly. I was very proud of her for keeping it together and having a good time. She walked up to the doorways with her friends {and the hoovering Daddies}, said “trick o’ treat” and got plenty of yummy candies that Momma and Daddy will be enjoying all week long. She even carried that giant bucket all by herself the whole night! I can’t believe how much she has changed from one Halloween to the next…
After a few hours of trick o’ treating, Baby B’s momma and I decided the kiddos deserved a sweet treat {from a fully closed package…no creepy candy pieces for these guys!} We had such a great time last night. I love that Alina has the chance to experience time honored American traditions, for as silly as they might seem, with her favorite people. Being Alina’s Momma is the most fun on days like this, when she is happy and excited and oh-so-adorable. If only every parenting day was filled with trick o’ treating, sweet treats and best friends! Halloween 2011 was a blast! I can’t believe how fast my baby is growing.

So adorable!
I don’t know if I told you, but before we made it to the car Boaz got sick. I guess he had the full experience. We had so much fun can’t wait to do it next year. : )
Adorable!!
sweetest lil mouse I’ve ever seen!
