From Fashion Model To Working Man: Making Over My Man With #MaLoUnderwear #CBias

Daddy D is as good of a family man as I could wish for. He works hard all day, then comes home to his family with a smile on his face and still manages to lend me a hand at home, too. With the stresses of climbing that wretched corporate ladder and the pressures of being a great dad and husband, Daddy D gets burnt out. A lot. But, don’t feel bad for him. Daddy D has had more amazing life experiences than I could even write in this one post…

I bet many of you didn’t know that Daddy D was a high fashion model in his younger years. He was signed with huge agencies in both LA and NY. After following the love of his life {that would be me} to Las Vegas, he casually pursed the LV market and can be found all over town. From billboards to commercials to the publications waiting for your browsing pleasure in your hotel room, D has been on it. I’ve even gotten emails from a couple readers who have seen his work in their towns. He is rather shy about his modeling successes… but I’m not!

When the opportunity came to make over my man, I had to take the bait. Honestly, I don’t know a single other man that deserves it more! During Daddy D’s years of stardom, he had the most upscale threads I had ever seen. Everything in his closet was designer; including his under garments. Not that he paid for the items, but after years of working in the industry, he had a huge stash of fashionable and comfortable clothing for his keeping.

Fast forward to a grown man’s career, a wife, two kids and plenty of financial responsibilities, its safe to say that fashion and comfort has pretty much gone out the window. Daddy D is lucky to get new under garments every now and again, let alone fashionable ones!

That’s where Mario Lopez’s new Mens Fashion line at Target named MaLo Underwear comes in! Daddy D didn’t know what I was up to when I told him I was venturing to a Target pretty far from our home, but he didn’t ask any questions either. I wanted him to be surprised of his new threads when he got home. I LOVE me some Target, and was excited to check out the inventory at one I hadn’t been to in a long time.

I really liked the entire product line. The logo and packing design were super cool. It was chic and in-your-face; totally something my fashion geek husband would appreciate. I especially loved this message on the bottom of the packaging. I got D a pair of trunk underwear and a pair of v-neck, tops, both in the same color scheme of white/reddish orange. But the real question remained: what would Daddy D think?

My guy inspected his new gear like a hawk! I didn’t realize how accustomed he had gotten to the old stuff! His final review was that the fabric was very soft and comfortable, no irritating tags. The v-necks were cut fairly low, but nothing my fashion forward hubby wouldn’t wear. His only other comment is that I should have gotten him the shirts in a size Large versus XLarge. His reasoning being that these shirts are designed to be worn more snug than a traditional t-shirt, like a “muscle shirt” he said. Muscle shirt? What do I know…

My man was looking pretty snazzy for a simple evening of grilling at home just by switching out his old white undershirt with Mario Lopez’s MaLo Underwear. I know he felt more comfortable, too.

Okay Ladies, ya’ll can stop drooling now 🙂

Your hubby totally looks like the model type. He has that bone structure, for sure.

I’ll have to tell my hubby to try the MaLo line. He’ll probably appreciate the v-neck tops.

Your Husband has drool worthy cheekbones! I have to agree that the red is much better than the white as just a casual shirt.

Your hubby looks so comfy and relaxed in his new MaLo duds! You can tell he’s a pro model, because he looks photogenic even while the baby is drooling on him. LOL! Adorable! Great snapshots of your family and great post!
