My sweet little cousin Kimmy will be married soon, but over the weekend her friends and family gathered together for her bridal shower. The theme was a Mad Hatter Tea Party and it was simply amazing! I got to say, I always knew my Sister was a party planning mastermind… but wow! She really outdid herself this time! My Sister {who is Kimmy’s maid of honor} and Kim’s sister Steph {who is her matron of honor} created a magical space in which we can dote on the beautiful Bride-to-be. They really did a great job. An amazing job, actually! It was a fabulous party for all of us in attendance and will certainly be a party our family won’t soon forget.

At each table setting was a unique cup and plate; no two sets were the same. How amazing is that?! My Step Mom {Kimmy’s Aunt} scoured garage sales for months to make this detail happen. After months of looking, she finally met a woman selling her antique collection. It was fate! My Step Mom bought every last set that woman was selling and each of the guests had a wonderful time browsing the beautiful assortment of tea cups and other details. The table was simply magical! Here are just a few of the cups and plates that we used…

My amazingly talented Sister made every.single. guest an adorable hat. Every guest got to pick their favorite. How flippin cute are these things?! I get emails all the time asking how to make these cute hats, and I promise to do a tutorial for you soon. It is rather easy, actually. You will be shocked to know they are made out of regular, disposable coffee cups. Of course, Holly made an extra special hat for the Bride…

Even Kimmy’s beloved baby, Charlie, was dolled to perfection in tea party attire! No single detail was left out…

The food my cousin Steph made, along with Kimmy’s Momma and other bridesmaids, was scrumptious! From sandwiches to sweet tarts {which were AAAmazing!}to trifle deserts, all the food was a huge hit.

After throwing her sister and I showers for the last few years, it was so wonderful to see Kimmy adored like this. Gauging from her reaction, I think she loved it! And she deserved it. You are an extremely loved girl, Kimmy! I’m sure the wedding will be beautiful.

Isn’t she simply stunning?! I remember this little girl’s biggest dream was to grow her golden locks long enough to sit on, and now here she is about to be married. I am super proud of Kim, for so many reasons, but for her sweet heart the most. I know that she is adored by her Cousin and Sister, her Mom and by all of us. We can’t wait for the wedding, Kimmers! Love you!

  14. This looks absolutely adorable!! I was curious what you used to hang the paper lanterns off of? I’m looking to do a simalar thing, but can’t figure out how you did it. lol

    • Hi Brittany! They weren’t allowed to hang anything from the ceiling (which was the original idea) so they used garden tresses used for tomatoes that you can find at any garden center. Hope that helps!
