We love our family photographer, Erica Adams Photography. She is the best at capturing our family history and documenting our legacy building. Although she is based out of Southern California, she has been the only photographer to shoot Alina throughout her first year so of course she was the one that did my maternity photography session too.
And after finding out we were pregnant for the first time, I knew she would take our maternity photography pictures. What I love most about Erica is her ability to connect with our baby. Alina is genuinely at ease when Erica is 2 inches from her face with a giant block of metal and glass, adorably excited by her high pitched, “look at me” noise, and Erica is always {always} saintly patient. That is one thing I notice about all of her baby shoots; she always captures the child in an all out, award winning smile. She shoots babies with all her love, all her patience and it truly shows in her work.
In November of 2009, Erica was kind enough to shoot my maternity photography pictures. I was 30 weeks pregnant with Alina. I was completely unsure if a maternity shoot was even something I wanted. Sure, I documented the monthly growth of the giant belly with pictures {and I am so glad I did!}, but did I really want to put my belly on blast like that? Inevitably, the pictures would find their way on the net one way or another. After some convincing, I agreed. And although a person can’t get more self conscience than yours truly, I have to say, they are beautiful.
So here you are, sweet Alina, inside your Momma’s belly {these are just a few of the many images Erica sent us}….
As a note, I was in Cali visiting family when these pictures were taken and my hard working husband was back home in Las Vegas {which is why he isn’t in any photos}. I so wish he could have been there with us for our maternity photography session!
