Step 2 Neat and Tidy Cottage
Things get hot in the summer and taking care of a lawn is difficult if you have Step 2 houses sitting on top of the grass. Also, I wanted to find a playhouse that we could place on top of landscape rocks too, which is why this worked so well for us. I love that this Step2 playhouse has a built-in floor, making storage and playing on rocks feasible.
The built-in floor is molded into a seating area inside the playhouse that is next to a sink and grill. My little man has enjoyed making dinner and playing outside independently in his little house. The floor is equipped with drainage holes so that water can easily drain, which is another great plus.
Another of our favorite features includes the swinging door, its such a cute touch! I love the muted color scheme of the Neat and Tidy Cottage II because fits in beautifully in our backyard landscape. The neutral tones and endearing details create a gender-neutral palate that is desirable for both of my sweet babies.
Step 2 Playhouse
Our first Step2 playhouse – the Step 2 Great Outdoors Playhouse – is awesome for a few reasons: it’s tall and wide, allowing my big babies plenty of room to move around. The playhouse is open, allowing mom (and other adults) to join in the fun, but this more compact version with a built in floor to protect little toes has its advantages as well.
A Step2 Playhouse for Boys and Girls
Setting the playhouse up was a breeze with the included directions. I could have done it myself, but Daddy took the lead and did a great job. It took no more than 30 minutes with minimal tools.
Another great feature: the working doorbell!!! It’s not obnoxiously loud but provides an element of real life into their everyday play. Both of the kids love the working shutters as well, with my little one playing peek-a-boo nonstop.
Multiple kids can play in this playhouse at once, as it is roomier than it looks. However, it’s not huge, which is something I like! It fits great in a nook of our backyard, but can be used inside a kid’s room, playroom or even a classroom too.
We love Step2 playhouses and this one, in particular, is another great choice. The Neat & Tidy Cottage II is a great addition to any kids’ outdoor toys.
