Sebastian’s 4 Months Letra de Amor

Sebastian’s 4 Months Letra de Amor

Querido Sebastian,

¿Cómo te puedo decir… I just adore you!!! Why didn’t someone tell me how much I’d love being the Momma to a son? I’m sure plenty of people did; I just had no idea how truly amazing it would be. You are SO cool! I really lucked out with your temperament, little man. You are wildly funny and smile all day long, but super chill at the same time. I hear comments from loved ones all the time about what a “good baby” you are. While I know that all babies are “good”, it certainly is refreshing to have one as laid back as you.

You are a BIG boy! At your 4 month check up, you weighed in at a whopping 17.10 lbs {90%} and were 26 inches long {~80%}. You are wearing a size two diaper, although you should really be in a size three. The same goes for your clothes; you are busting out of size 3-6 months and should really be in 6-9 months. While at your 4 months doctor’s appointment, I tweeted about your chunker status and that I was grateful for the Britax USA Advocate car seat we had waiting at home. And what do you know, Britax responded saying what a cutie you are! Pretty cool, huh Papi Chulo?

You are sleeping like a champ! You go down anywhere between 8 and 9pm, wake up once in the early morning, and then sleep until between 7-8am. After some breakfast and a bit of playtime, you are back to sleep for a long morning nap, waking shortly before lunch. I know from experience that this routine will change countless times, but at 4 months of age, I can’t ask for more.

You have found your voice this month. You laugh out loud, squeal in delight, grunt and moan like a true boy and, in general, are very vocal. You love to shriek at your sister, and she thinks its pretty funny too. I wonder if you will communicate as Alina does at her age?

You are such a wiggly worm! Towards the end of the your third month, you were sitting up {unsupported} for a quick moment, so I’m sure that milestone is soon approaching. Sebastian, you are SO strong! You love tummy time, and enjoy lots of it. You can lift your head up high, while raising your chest off the ground. You have long been rolling from your tummy to your back and are so observant at the things around you. You have no problem squirming your body around to look at something more closely. You are also scooting, which means I have to be careful not to leave you anywhere you can fall or scoot into something dangerous. You are already way more active that your sister ever was!

The most fun milestone you reached during this month has been finding your hands, fingers and learning how to play. You reach for your toys, love to twirl them between your fingers, paying close attention to how they move. I adore watching you play! So much so that I will write you a special letter, just about how much I love this milestone you’ve reached, very soon. I’m so proud of you, my little boy!

You know where I am at ALL times. Seriously, kid. You love me. You listen to everything I have to say, even if I’m not talking to you. You twist and and turn your body to see me, regardless of where I might be. It is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I hope you always listen to your Momma and love me as much as you do right now. My heart swells with hope!

Mi querido hijo, el amor mas grande de mi vida… I love you more and more every day. I have no idea how that is possible, but I do. As you grow, as I understand who you are, as I become comfortable in my motherhood, I love you more. Your Daddy and I are so excited for our future with you. We have high expectations, young man. We are committed to your successses, we will lead you through your failures, and we look forward to building a legacy that you will be proud of. One things is for sure – you are adored.

I love you, mi Papi Chulo.

Te quiero por siempre, y después de siempre,
Su Mama
