Vanessa Bell is a parenting and lifestyle writer based in Southern California with a heart for raising resilient, multiracial children.  On DeSuMama.com, Vanessa combines her bicultural Cuban American roots with her husband’s African American heritage to cultivate a multiracial family legacy.  Together, she and her husband parent two mixed race children to be confident and resilient.  DeSuMama.com is a place to build a legacy of multiracial motherhood through the exploration of identity, food culture, travel and documentation of parenthood through her unique experiences and perspectives.

An Award-Winning Latina Blogger, Vanessa’s work has been featured on expert parenting sites, including The Huffington Post (biracial parenting and Latino Christmas traditions), Babble.com, BabyZone.com, eHow.com and latinamom.me. She has also developed original, Latino-inspired recipes for General Mill’s Que Rica Vida.  Vanessa has appeared as an on-air representative for Disney’s BabyZone on Good Morning America and featured on the Yahoo! front page and Yahoo! Shine on a weekly basis.

In 2014, De Su Mama was named one of the Best Latina Bloggers by Latina Magazine and a Favorite Mom Blogger of the notable online publication, mom.me. In addition, Vanessa was honored as part of Disney’s Babble Top 100 Bloggers of 2013 and, less than a year after launching De Su Mama, Vanessa was again recognized as one of the 10 Best Latina Mom Bloggers by Latina Magazine in 2012. She has also been recognized as a Top Bloguera by LATISM for several years in a row.

As a blogger and founder of De Su Mama, Vanessa collaborates with top level brands through ambassadorships that aim to reach her niche audience of Latina and multiracial moms.
