Interactive toys are all the rage this year for kids of all ages. With the ability to engage and immerse in pretend play, there’s no wonder that the Zoomer Dino Interactive Toy was one of the select toys on the Chosen By Kids Top 20 Toys list at Walmart.
I had the chance to review the Zoomer Dino Interactive Toy and it is pretty cool!

The Zoomer Dino is a 9 inches tall, so not super big. The toy is slated for 5 years old and up, but my almost three year old is having a great time with him. Between him and my 5 year old daughter, they are having a great time teaching Dino new tricks or tending to his needs with pets and kisses. It’s actually super cute to watch!
The Zoomer Dino comes in two colors (green, as shown, and purple). The joints of the toy are super flexible, making the toy’s movements seem life-like. And he “talks”! The dino noises he makes are both hilarious and genius, giving kids plenty of opportunities for pretend play for hours to come. He can roar, snort, cuddles and even burps. Balancing (quite securely, actually) on two wheels, dino roams the house freely just like a real pet! With crazy cool technology, the Zoomer Dino can detect when you’re near and interacting with him.
Our favorite feature of the Zoomer Dino toy is his eyes! In addition to cool noises and prehistoric gestures, the dino’s eyes communicate how he’s feeling. With happy green eyes, the little toy is content to follow the owner around. Pull the dino’s toy or otherwise make him angry, and his eyes flame to a bright red and he snorts, roars and spins around. The kids get a kick out of it!

Is the Zoomer Dino Worth It?
I was excited to test this Top Toy! But is the Zoomer Interactive Dino worth the almost $80 price point? Ultimately, for the kid who loves pretend play, I say yes! In fact, on my dog-loving little girl’s Christmas list is “robo-dog”, which is Zoomer’s dog version of this same toy. I bought her the Bentley version last week with happiness after testing this Dino with the knowledge that these toys are incredibly well made and so cool.
Dino is not like other toys in that care should be practiced, but the quality of the design is superb. He’s been kissed and fed, too, and he’s still going strong. He’s charged using a USB cord, but also comes with a simple remote control (batteries required) for when you want to create certain movements.
