Pinecone Crafts: Glitter Name Cards for Christmas Table

This year will be my first time hosting Christmas morning brunch at our new home in California and I’m pulling out all the stops. From the menu to the decor, the kids and I have been busy ensuring Christmas morning will be filled with all the sounds, smells and tastes that memories are made of – including making an abundance of pinecone crafts!

During my regular grocery shopping trip at Walmart this week, I picked up all the supplies needed for the simple pinecone crafts that my kids love. Thanks to them for sponsoring this post! This pinecone craft is easy, festive and doesn’t break the budget. Check out how we made these glitter name cards for our Christmas table below…

Pinecone Crafts: Glitter Name Card Holders

We’re lucky to live among some beautiful pine trees that drop marvelous pinecones, but even if you don’t, Walmart has you covered for all the supplies you need for this craft. This is what I used…

  • Pinecones (Walmart sells scented pinecones that are wonderful!)
  • Spray adhesive
  • Glitter
  • Mini Craft sticks
  • Construction paper of your choosing
  • Hot glue gun

Our Christmas Place Setting & Name Cards

This is such a fun craft for kids to make because it utilizes a variety of skills, so kids of all ages can help out. To get started, just spray the pinecone with plenty of adhesive. Then sprinkle with glitter and let dry for a couple minutes – it doesn’t take long!

While those dry, create a star template and trace/cut as many stars as you have pinecones. Write each guests name on the star and, using your hot glue gun, adhere to the mini craft stick. Once the pinecones are dry, use the hot glue gun to adhere the star to the pinecone. Since the hot glue will dry clear, use plenty to ensure the star stays in place.

Our Christmas Table

I so enjoy our Christmas table and the place settings with Pinecone Glitter Name Cards the kids and I made! During the holiday season, we use these festive Better Home and Gardens seasonal set available at Walmart. I have most of the collection, including the serving platter and salad bowl, and I just love the vintage touch it adds to our holiday decor.

Every year I add a couple new pieces to my collection and since they’re so affordable, it’s easy to add new place settings to the table as our family grows.

How are you enjoying your Christmas tablescape this year?
