Build Your Financial Legacy: Women’s Money Conference

I have been wanting to take on the challenge of financial legacy building for some time now. Not that D and I are doing a wonderful job at leading our family down the path of financial security, but I do recognize the importance of financial stability. We’re definitely trying. Being financially stable creates less stress in a marriage, promotes healthy values and reduces anxiety over what you “don’t have”. Having less debt, more money saved and, in general, keeping your wants in line with your needs, gives you tranquility and peace. Doing the opposite proves otherwise.

Certainly, as I mentioned above, I don’t want to give anyone the idea that I’m a stellar saver – we struggle tremendously with living below our means and not letting wants overshadow our desire to build a strong financial legacy for our children. I plan to open up more on our personal path to financial legacy building, and how these values relate to parenting, which is why I am SUPER excited to share that I will be attending the Women’s Money Conference here in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 27, 2013!financial legacy, family legacy, vegas blog, debt managment

Nevada Women’s Money Conference

The agenda for the conference sounds perfectly in line with the support, knowledge and information I need to get our financial legacy on track. The diverse panel of speakers will touch personal finance topics such as why financial security is so important, controlling your money and debt management. Last year we bought a house and had a baby – quite the building year for the Bell family – so we have a lot of catching up to do. I pinky promise to write again about our progress AND about the great information I learn while at the conference. To follow along even if you can’t attend, catch me on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #DSMLegacy.

Full Sponsorships available through DSEF!

The Nevada Women’s Money Conference will be held in Las Vegas this Saturday, April 27th (the Reno conference sold out last week!). The cost to attend the one day conference is $75 and includes lunch – a great deal, if you ask me. But full scholarships to attend the conference are available!

The Direct Selling Education Foundation (DSEF), a non-profit organization dedicated to championing ethical entrepreneurship and standing up for consumers, is offering full scholarships to the conference for direct sales consultants who are part of Direct Selling Association member companies (companies like Avon, The Pampered Chef, Princess House, etc.) To take advantage of the scholarship, direct sellers can use the scholarship code “DSEF”. If you are in Vegas and can use this full sponsorship, I would love to see you at the Nevada Women’s Money Conference! It’s sure to be a day full of information and inspiration!
