Our First Disneyland Trip Kicks Off at Preschool!

Alina’s Disneyland Birthday has been in full swing! After a festive Disneyland Countdown, the day had finally arrived for Alina’s first trip to Disneyland. But before we could get on the road, Alina had to go to school. I had emailed her teacher the week before and she suggested we arrive 15 minutes before the end of class to celebrate. Because her class is a nut-free zone and the school has specific vendors they want baked goods purchased from, I opted not to bring food of any kind. Instead, I found these adorable 24 piece puzzles at a local one dollar store. Alina loves Minnie Mouse, so I designed this cute Disneyland birthday gift tag and wrapped the puzzles with simple ribbon.

Alina was beside herself to see Daddy D, Sebastian and I walk into her classroom that morning. We watched as the teacher led the class in a conversation about what they love best about Alina. All the while, she sat in a chair at the front of the circle, grinning with pride. We then sang Alina’s favorite song and said a prayer for the birthday girl.

The kids were stoked to get Disney puzzles… and Alina was equally happy to pass them out to her classmates. She was so proud as they looked at the cute tags and expressed their gratitude. Knowing how happy my girl was made the effort to create these silly little things all worth.

I simply cannot believe D and I just celebrated our baby’s birthday in her classroom. It seems like only yesterday we were celebrating her birth in a hospital. As I told her in her 4 year old love letter, my admiration of her just continues to grow. I’m also grateful that Alina’s classmates were so sweet in expressing their love for her. Sometimes I wonder if she’s coming out of her shell or not, but I’m happy to see that she is in a loving environment.
