Quick 3 Ingredient Whipped Cream Frosting

There are a few things that we never buy pre-made – whipped cream is one of them. It’s so easy to make, and with only 3 ingredients, this whipped cream frosting recipe is a go-to topping during the holidays. Since we’ve never hosted Thanksgiving at our house, I’m thinking this quick and easy recipe might be a good fit for our to-go holiday menu contributions.

My usual assignment to the Thanksgiving menu is some kind of roasted vegetable dish. But the headache of transporting hot food that eventually gets too cold to enjoy does nothing for my festive mood. I would love to sign up for something sweet this year, but not having the proper serving tools makes me cautious. So when Walmart asked me to share how I prep for Thanksgiving, I knew that this was my chance to get a full proof recipe for our on-the-go Thanksgiving. But first, check out how silly easy this 3 Ingredient Whipped Cream Frosting recipe is…

{1.} 2 cups Organic Heavy Whipping Cream

{2.}2 tablespoons Sugar

(3.) 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract

Instructions:

Using a hand mixer (or a cool stand mixer that I don’t own), whip that cream until it thickens and peaks start to form. Store in fridge to harden slightly.

Use to frost everything from homemade apple pie, store-bought cake or just with a plate of fresh fruit. Perhaps even try the whipped cream frosting with this Cuban Chocolate Cake!

Now that I’m prepared for our on-the-go Thanksgiving, I’ll bring a homemade apple pie to take in my cake server and various fruits and pound cake with a heaping mound of homemade whipped cream in the center of my snack server.

In the meantime, we’ll have this beauty to enjoy…

Are you usually assigned a certain item for you on-the-go Thanksgiving? Let me know if you have a whipped cream frosting recipe that I should try!

I also make whipped cream frosting- and sometimes I add strawberries (for a pink frosting!) or chocolate sprinkles and add them to the cream while I beat it and it is perfect for decorating cakes! Would love to try this Coban chocolate cake recipe!

[…] With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, Walmart asked me try not a new product on the baking shelves: Nestle La Lechera Tres Leches Cake Baking Kit. The kit comes with everything you need (minus whole the whole milk) to make Tres Leches Cake, including the cake mix, condensed mix and evaporated milk. The kit makes one 9-inch cake, which is how Tres Leches Cake is traditionally served. It’s also typical to serve with a whipped cream topping. […]
