Five 3-Ingredient Smoothie Recipes

Quick breakfast recipes that are also nutritious for kids are much appreciated by this busy mama. My babies have been slurping green smoothies since they were toddlers. Packed to the rim with green, leafy vegetables and combined with sweet and tart berries (along with my secret ingredients), these little ones had no idea they were consuming the daily suggested servings of vegetable in one chilled sippy cup.

Nowadays, I hate to admit, I don’t make these green wonders as often as I should. Green smoothies for my picky eater are especially hard. Having all the ingredient on hand and cleaning yet another appliance is another hurdle, despite knowing all the benefits. So I decided to make it easy on myself and create five 3-ingreident smoothie recipes to lean on when time is of the essence.

This one product makes our breakfast green smoothie routine so much easier by ensuring I have everything on hand. My kids really love the thick consistency that frozen fruit and veggies give. As for the other two “secret” smoothie ingredients that I use to help mask the taste of the green, leafy vegetables: orange juice and banana.

If you have a child that’s hesitant to try a green smoothie, give these ingredients a try. The two flavors do a great job at masking the taste of vegetables in a green smoothie.
