Our Home: Adding Pops of Color to Our Master Bedroom

Our master bedroom is pretty dull – it has nice furniture, some contrasting white elements, but that’s about it. I just cannot decide on the color palette for this space! Since Daddy D is all about pops of color, while I’m leaning towards a tranquil look of neutrals, I was excited when Walmart offered me the opportunity to check out the newest bedding line, 9 by Novogratz.

Have you heard of the Novogratz family? They had a popular television show on HGTV about their (beautiful) lives amidst a flurry of color. I loved it! I was equally excited to meet Mrs. Novogatz in person this summer – she’s every bit as a colorful and cheerful as you might expect – and her love for this new Walmart collection is infectious.

I decided to check out the Kaleidoscope Bed in a Bag Bedding Set and think its a great balance between D’s color request and my need to create a peaceful haven of neutrals.

I’m impressed with Walmart’s bed in a bag offerings, and having a designer line available makes it even more exciting. This Novogratz design in a queen size is available for about $100, and includes: fitted sheet, standard sheet, 2 decorate shams, 2 pillow cases, a super soft comforter AND a coordinating decorate pillow. I think that’s a great value!

I especially love that the comforter is reversible, giving me the option to pop as much color as I can tolerate. In the Kaleidoscope design, I love the teal combined with a grey nuetral, with pops of soft orange and a goldish mustard. It reminds me of the beach sunsets that my family enjoyed during out summer vacation this year and makes me very happy.

The Novogratz line at Walmart goes beyond bed in a bag bedding offerings though, and you should definitely check out their other colorful options. I love the statement pillows, which remind us to live happy, and the affordable tufted sleeper sofa is definitely calling my name! Maybe for a home office redo? Let’s hope!

Totally love how the beach pictures of the kidos above your bed coordinate so well and definitely like the beautiful merging of soft gentle classic with the bold color statements – elegantly fun.
